# Migrate from v3

The Frontfriend team plans and runs your move from v3 to the new Frontfriend.

The new Frontfriend is a different foundation, with Tailwind CSS v4, new component contracts and a new way to deliver your Design System. Moving an existing v3 application is not an automatic upgrade. The Frontfriend team plans and runs the migration with you.

Your v3 setup keeps working in the meantime. Do not install the new Frontfriend into an existing v3 project on your own. The [v3 documentation](/docs/legacy/) remains available while you are on v3.
